J. Geoffrey Golson, President and Editor
Geoff Golson attended the Canterbury School and the University of Connecticut
before getting his first real job as assistant editor at the now-venerable
OMNI magazine in 1979. Geoff nurtured an entrepreneurial spirit while
progressing through the ranks at various publishing companies, and was
awarded a U.S. patent for an index design during his seven years at Rand
McNally. Positions held range from product manager to managing editor
at Rand McNally, publisher at Lebhar-Friedman Books, and publisher at
Macmillan USA, working both in their trade and library reference divisions.
He founded Golson Media as Golson Books, Ltd., in 2002.
Lisbeth Rogers, Director of Marketing
Well-seasoned in the field of sales and marketing, Lisbeth’s career spans
over 15 years with multimillion-dollar production. She oversees day-to-day
communications with current and potential clients who experience her passion
for people and extraordinary customer service. An accomplished market
strategist, Lisbeth also analyzes current market competition for new product
proposals.
Susan Moskowitz, Managing Editor - Author Recruitment
Susan graduated from the State University of New York at Albany with a
B.A. in Political Science. Susan has 24 years experience in publishing,
working for the
National Audubon Society Magazine, National Law Journal,
and Lebhar-Friedman. Positions ranged from Corporate Marketing Director
to Associate Publisher. She is responsible for recruiting leading academic
scholars to create outstanding editorial products at Golson Media.
Joseph K. Golson, Manager - Information Technology
Joseph earned a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
and an M.S. in Clinical Psychology from Eastern Michigan University. He is
responsible for new initiatives in internet and electronic technology, including
creating websites for clients' products and guiding Golson Media through the digital age.
Joseph has been designing websites for over 12 years, producing online content for numerous
organizations in that time.
Oona Patrick, Layout Editor
Oona has been laying out and editing academic books since 2000. Past projects
have included books published by the Harvard Global Equity Initiative,
the Center for East-West Cultural and Economic Studies, and Peter Lang.
She has a B.A. in East Asian Studies from Brown University and an M.F.A.
in nonfiction writing from the Bennington Writing Seminars. Her own writing
has appeared in a number of literary journals and a college writing textbook.
She is responsible for the placement and editing of text, photos, and
captions, producing large volumes of quality page layouts on deadline.
Bill Kte'pi, Staff Writer
Bill Kte'pi has been a published author for 15 years. Although his
early publications were primarily short stories, he wrote for everything
from role-playing games and comic books to cultural studies texts and a
collection of Mark Twain essays, while a graduate student at the University
of New Orleans (M.A., History) and Indiana University (M.A., Western European Studies).
After graduate school, he turned to writing full-time, and has contributed to textbooks,
reference works, and essay collections, while continuing to write fiction in his spare time.
Ellen Ingber, Author Manager
Ellen graduated from the State University of New York at Binghamton with
a B.A. in Psychology. She has 24 years of experience in financial industry
software development and project management. As Author Manager for Golson
Media, she is responsible for researching and recruiting authors, as well
as managing assignments and contracts.
Freelancers and Consultants
Golson Media works with a wide variety of talent,
assembling teams of freelancers and consultants for each project.
These teams are comprised of experts, ranging from medical copyeditors
